Daikanyamachō

Daikanyamachō

This hipster, centrally located neighborhood puts the “scene” in “scenic.” It’s called the “Brooklyn of Tokyo” for good reason—it just has an effortlessly artsy vibe. Daikanyama is full of one-of-a-kind clothing shops and boutiques, where almost anything you buy will have your friends back home asking where you got it. You really can’t go wrong with any of open air cafes or restaurants, but Ivy Place is not-to-be-missed for breakfast or brunch. Request a seat on their open air patio (weather permitting), and be sure to try their extra fluffy pancakes (insider tip: it’s also one of very few places in Tokyo that give free coffee refills!).
